Spring will arrive early in the form of “Tangled Up in Blue,” an Edenic group show at Carrie Haddad Gallery with mixed-media artists Julia Whitney Barnes, Linda Newman Boughton and Donise English; porcelain sculptures by Owen Mann; and abstract paintings by James O’Shea. Beyond the beauty inherent to the botanical, several of the featured artists employ extraordinary artistic processes. Barnes will exhibit her Picturesque Botany series of painted cyanotypes alongside Boughton’s highly detailed large-scale drawings in her signature blue ballpoint pen.
